Cristina is a partner in the energy practice and has over eighteen years of experience in corporate law, energy, natural resources, and capital markets, with a special focus on investment structuring, mergers and acquisitions, and project development.

Experience

Cristina rejoined the firm as a partner in the Energy practice in 2026. Previously, Cristina was part of our firm between 2008 and 2011, working in the Mining area.

She has provided comprehensive advice to investors, developers, and local and international companies in all stages of energy, mining, and infrastructure projects, including investment instruments, financing, corporate governance, and compliance.

Her career is characterized by a strong transactional focus, standing out for her strategic vision, deep understanding of the business, leadership of multidisciplinary teams, and ability to support operations from their initial design to their execution and divestment.

Relevant Transactions / Milestones / Cases

  • Advised on the development and sale of 2,136 MW in NCRE projects.
  • Advised a major Chinese power generation company on the acquisition of a global renewable energy company (hydroelectric and wind power) with operations in Australia, Brazil, and Chile.
  • Advised on the acquisition of a significant shareholding in a strategic lithium project in northern Chile, including structuring the investment and developing the project.
  • Advising on the sale to a major international mining company of a majority shareholding in a rare earth project in southern Chile.
  • Long-term advice on the structuring and administration of multiple private investment funds focused on mining, raising financing, applying for and being awarded public venture capital programs, as well as comprehensive support in investment processes, project development, and project sales.
  • Ongoing advice to a leading international mining company, including the sale of mining projects, corporate reorganizations, negotiation of strategic contracts, and legal structuring for the reopening and operation of mines.
