For Cariola pro bono work, i.e. free legal assistance for nonprofit organizations who work for the physical, material and spiritual wellbeing of society, is a fundamental tool. We strongly believe that it is our professional duty to serve justice and ensure equal access to the legal system.
As Advisor to the Chilean Bar Association, one of our partners created and chaired the Bar Association’s Pro Bono Commission.
Our firm is also a member of the Pro Bono Foundation. Therefore, our in-house policy is to encourage and support the voluntary work of our partners and associates.
We have conducted pro bono work in the corporate, tax and labor areas for the benefit of foundations and nonprofit organizations. Our firm has also adhered to the Pro Bono Declaration for the Americas, which is aimed at having participant law and professional firms log in at least 20 hours of pro bono work per attorney.
